Owen County Kite Festival

with PIGS Aloft Kite Club of Cincinnati

This Saturday in May will be a celebration for the entire family! Bring your kite or make one with us. We'll have kite flying experts flying hyper-kites, demonstrating these beautifully engineered flights of fancy. Musicians and artists from throughout Owen County and Northern Kentucky will round out the festivities.

PIGS Aloft Kite Club of Cincinnati will help kids and adults fly kites from 11 AM to 3 PM on the pigeon range at Elk Creek Hunt Club.

Food will be available on the grounds provided by vendors.

Local craftsmen and Farmer's Market participants will set up booths.

Kite Making Tent for the benefit of Relay for Life where
folks can go and make a kite for a suggested donation of $10.00.

This painting by Jill Mardis will be raffled off at the Kite Festival with all proceeds
benefiting the Owen County Arts Council. Tickets will be $1.00 each or six for $5.00.

The Kentucky Arts Council, a state agency in the Commerce Cabinet has provided funding support for this Kite Festival with state tax dollars and federal funding from the National Endowment for the Arts, which believes that a great nation deserves great art. No coolers • No Pets No alcoholic beverages other than Elk Creek Vineyards wines are allowed on premises due to KY licensing. Guests are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chair. This event will take place rain or shine so bring rain gear if needed.
