The Elk Creek Vineyards Tasting Room offers a spectacular setting for wine tasting. Our knowledgeable staff will guide you through your choice of varietals. Basic tastings are available when the winery is open The cost is $5 and $8, depending upon the wine, for up to five different wines. Wine-making tours are also available. No appointment is necessary for the basic services.


BASIC TOURS & TASTINGS (no appointment necessary) Crazy Elk Tasting - basic tasting of our lighter, sweeter wines Pronghorn Tasting - basic tasting of our drier, more full bodied wines	$5 $8

CLASSIC TOUR PACKAGE (by appointment only) Package includes winery tour, tasting of 4 wines, Cheese and Cracker platter, (1) complimentary glass of wine. Minimum of 8 people required. Allow approximately 1-1/2 hours for the package.	$12 per person

TOASTED OAK TOUR PACKAGE (by appointment only) Package includes a private extended winery tour along with a private wine tasting of 4 wines in the cellar. Also includes a cheese, fruit and cracker platter with (1) complimentary glass of wine. Minimum of 8 people required. Allow approximately 1-1/2 hours for the package.	$17 per person

GRAPEVINE TOUR PACKAGE (by appointment only) Package includes a private winery tour with a private tasting of 4 wines, (1) complimentary glass of wine. Also includes a lunch buffet or Hors D'ouevres buffet. Minimum of 12 people required with a maximum capacity of 75 people. Allow approximately 3 hours for the package. Guests in your party may also enjoy the buffet only for a price of $13 per person. Lunch buffet - includes soup, half bistro roast beef or bordeaux turkey sandwich, caesar side salad, dessert and choice of soft drink or bottled water. Hors D'ouevres buffet - Choice of (1):(selections may vary depending on seasonal options) Assorted cheese and cracker tray, assorted vegetable tray, or an assorted fruit plate. Choice of (3): Mini chicken quesadillas, small meatballs in bourbon sauce, mini sausage pizzas, mini cheese pizzas, mini quiches, chicken tenders, mini phyllo cups stuffed with chicken sald, asparagus with asiago cheese, or chicken wings. Choice of (1): Dessert bars, mini cheesecakes, and cookies	$23 per person $17 per person buffet only

Kentucky Winemaking Tradition Continues

In 1798, Kentucky was the site of America's first commercial vineyard planted by the winemaker for the Marquis de Lafeyette. By the late 1800's, Kentucky was the third largest grape and wine producer in the United States. Then came Prohibition which hit the Kentucky wine industry hard just like it did in many other states. Many of the vineyards then in Kentucky were either uprooted and converted to cash crops or they were abandoned. Today of course the story is much different. There are many Kentucky wineries where visitors can enjoy wine tours and tastings. And Elk Creek Vineyards is leading the region for Kentucky vineyards and Kentucky wine. We're proud to be the largest winery in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

Elk Creek Vineyards is nestled among the rolling hills of Kentucky in Owenton, KY. We established Elk Creek Vineyards in 2003 believing that the only way to make great wines is to intimately know what grows best on Kentucky soil.
